Description

How sure are you that it's the flutter of a bird's wings you're hearing?

I love Likely. I'm starting to draw her more and have a few more pieces planned for her and the story that's now building up around her.

A world where flight is Magic...

The crows are an experiment. Not bad for a first shot. Inspired by one of my favorite artists ever Renga. I've wanted to do something to mimic that image for some time. I'd like to try again as the transparent ideal is an inspirational word for Likely's story.

Does anybody else to that? Connect words to their stories that capture the essence? Maybe small phrases?

I do. Likely's story is very strongly based on those kinds of things.

Ok we're getting to the point where I have to stop looking at it. Glad I got to do something big and real for the first time in awhile though. Got some homework done, that’s why

PS any kind of in depth feed back on the crows would be awesome, I'm no Digital Master so feedback, tips, tutorial links for the kind of digital smudgy transparent effect would be awesome

I can't give you feedback tips, but I can say that I love this piece and I agree that attempting the crows was worth it. Besides helping to achieve a 3-D look which is awesome, your crows are gorgeous and they help every little detail and piece of personality Likely has to be magnified. Totally super-pumped that Likely is invigorating you as an artist because I like to see your expression in your pieces. I always felt that this new style of yours gives you more of a Van Gogh thing where I can get an idea of how you're feeling from your lines and textures and whatnot.
